Plus, you get three hints with each Emerald Shard could you imagine getting one for each at the same time? You'd be even more lost. Again: four distinct areas, three Emerald Shards. Find them out of order and you get way more points. "But you can only look for them one at a time unlike in Adventure 1!" Yeah, if you're using the hint system. Each of those levels have four distinct areas and there's an Emerald Shard in three of them, you'll find them eventually. "Oh, but what about the hint system in Knux/Rouge? How can you be expected to know the layout of the level?" Let's be real here the levels aren't that big. Adventure 2 fixed it by having each level centered on the three different styles: Sonic's/Shadow's were based on high-speed platforming, Tails'/Eggman's were built around slower mech-shooting, and Knuckles'/Rouge's were built around treasure hunting. My main complaint with Adventure 1 was that the levels weren't built around all six characters, instead built around Sonic with the others as an afterthought. It is unable to participate in the Hero Races.Have to disagree on the whole "1/3" thing, since I personally enjoyed all three types of gameplay, not to mention it fixed a lot of issues I had with Adventure 1 (which I actually played after Adventure 2):

These are commonly mixed up with official character Chao, and so it is important to mention this. Many of the final evolutions that are available to Chao also have a striking similarity to characters from the Sonic games or other Sega games. Generally these are just Chao evolutions that start to look like iconic characters, but there are also official Character Chao avaiable that cannot be obtained by normal methods in the Chao garden. Character Chao refer to Chao who resemble characters from the main Sonic and Sega games.
